Romantic Winter Central Park Elopement By Impressenshi

I think that Central Park in the winter time can be absolutely romantic. Couples are always concerned that a winter wedding in Central Park, New York City would not be pretty without all the lush greenery. However, for Natasha and Jamie who came all the way from England the first week of February, Central Park was beautiful and romantic. The park was empty on that winter afternoon and they exchanged their vows with their two best friends in a very intimate ceremony. They played rock, paper, scissors to decide who would go first with their vows, and there was laughter and tears. The couple and I met for the first time on their wedding day but it felt that we were old friends. It was truly one of the of the sweetest, most memorable elopements I have ever photographed.

After their ceremony at Wagner Cove, we took a walk over to Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge for wedding photos. These two locations are some of the most popular sites for wedding photos and also some of the most romantic site. Bow Bridge is old charm romantic with its wooden floor and cast iron details. Bethesda Terrace has arches, gothic details and frescos that are right out of fairytale. There are also musicians that perform there and it can be a perfect first spot for a first dance. The bride wore a beautiful sparkly white dress and the groom wore a three piece suit with the his family’s Scottish colors. In a sweet gesture, he wore a bee pin on his lapel as a nod to his nickname for his new bride. We came across a man making bubbles by the Terrace and the couple took the opportunity to have some fun making their own huge soap bubble as well as grabbing a few photos as well.

All in all, it was a perfect afternoon for this British couple who had flown across the pond to exchange vows in a place that was special to them both.
